How to activate Dormant Account?

To activate your dormant account, please follow the below steps -

Step 1- www.kotak.com
Step 2- Select the option “Service Request”
Step 3- Click on “Activation of Dormant Account” under “Saving and Current Accounts”

After following above steps, the customer needs to follow below steps -

1. Enter the “Mobile number,” “DOB,” read and accept the Terms and Conditions, and click on “Get OTP to login”
2. Enter the OTP and “Verify OTP to login”
3. Select the reason for dormancy from the dropdown list and click on “Confirm dormancy reason”
4. Select the Current address as per the bank’s records or add a new address and click on “Confirm current address. ”
5. Enter the email ID and click on “Verify email. ”
6. Enter Income details, read and accept the declarations as required, and click on “Confirm Income details and declaration. ”
7. Next, to commence the Video KYC journey, the customer is required to verify Aadhaar. In case the Registered Mobile Number differs from the customer’s Aadhaar Mobile Number, an OTP will be triggered on the Aadhaar Mobile number as well. Read and accept consent and click on “Get Aadhaar OTP. ”
Please Note: It is mandatory for the customer to authenticate his/her Aadhaar Registered Mobile Number during the journey.
8. Enter the received OTP and click on “Verify Aadhaar OTP. ” If the customer’s name does not match with the bank records and Aadhaar, the journey will be terminated, and the customer will be directed to the branch. Refer to the screen below for reference purposes.
9. After conducting the necessary verifications by the VKYC officer, the customer will receive the screen below.
10. The customer will receive communication via SMS and email confirming the activation of the bank account within 24 hours.
