Chennai’s largest sporting event, the Skechers Performance Chennai Marathon 2019 is now in its 7th year. What started as a simple East Coast road run of a mere 10 km is now the country’s second largest marathon after Mumbai.
Organised by Chennai Runners, a not-for-profit organisation run by passionate runners and volunteers since 2006, it is one of the few running events in the country that is entirely organised by the running community. Chennai Runners have chosen ‘Access to Sports’ for para-athletes and ‘Access to education for all’ as the charity themes for 2019. They will be funding projects and supporting para-athletes with the funds raised from the events.
It is for these reasons that Kotak Mahindra Bank has been associated with the Chennai Marathon for the past few years and have extended our association with the Skechers Performance Chennai Marathon 2019.We invite all of you to register for the marathon.
