What are the different categories of bill payments available?

Bill payments available on Kotak BillPay are for the following categories:

  • Electricity bill
  • Gas bill
  • Mobile post-paid bill
  • Water bill
  • Mobile Prepaid & DTH recharge
  • Insurance premium
  • Credit card bill
  • Landline & Internet bill

How do I register a new biller for payment?

Simply login to your Kotak Mobile Banking app or Net Banking, click on “Bill Pay/Recharge” & select “Add/Manage” option. Then click on “Add Biller” option & enter your biller details & click on “Submit”. Your biller will be registered successfully. In case of any further query, you may contact the call centre or visit the nearest branch also.

How much time does it take to register a new biller?

Registration for a new biller takes around 10 to 15 days.

How can I modify already registered biller?

You can modify the billers you have already registered by selecting “Add/Manage” Billers in “BillPay/Recharge” tab. Select the biller and click on “Modify” to change the details. Click on “Save Changes” to complete the modification process.

How can I set Auto Pay for a biller?

Simply login to your Kotak Mobile Banking app or Net Banking, click on “BillPay/Recharge” tab & select “Add/Manage” option. Then click on “Add Biller” option & enter your biller details under “AutoPay option”. Your bill will be paid automatically from the next billing cycle. 

How can I delete an AutoPay Instruction on Bank Account/Debit Card for a particular biller?

You can modify the AutoPay by selecting “Add/Manage” under “BillPay/Recharge” Tab. Select the biller and click on “Modify AutoPay” option to change the details. Click on “Save Changes” to complete the modification process.

What are the different payments modes can be used on Kotak BillPay?

Different payments available are directly from your Kotak Bank account, Net Banking or your Debit/ Credit Card.

If I stop a bill scheduled for payment, will I be able to make the payment through Kotak BillPay?

Yes, once you stop the scheduled biller, you can still make the payment by clicking on “Add/Manage Biller”. Then select the biller and click on “Pay/View Biller Details”. Please ensure that you make the payment 3 days prior to the due date to avoid late payment fees.                     

Can I set frequency of payment for AutoPay billers?

Yes, you can specify the frequency for your payment (monthly, annually) and even the start date and end date of payment. 

Will I receive any alerts for auto payments?

Yes, you will receive SMS and Email alerts for AutoPay.

How much time is taken for processing the payment of my biller?

Bill payment will be updated in 3-4 working days at the vendor’s end. Hence, you are requested to make the payment at least 3-4 working days before the due date. This is to ensure the payment is updated on time and to avoid any service disruption or late payment charges.

How do I view my past bills?

You may view your pass bills by clicking on “Bill History”. You can also select the period for which you want to see the bills.

Are there any limits on number of payments that I can make using Kotak BillPay?

There are no limits on the number of payments or transaction amount. You can pay as many bills you wish to pay. 

I have already registered the biller with a different bank - Can I register the same biller with Kotak BillPay?

You can register the biller with Kotak BillPay, even if the same bill is registered with another bank. You will receive bills for the same at Kotak BillPay too.                                    

How to make payments to registered billers?

You can make payment by clicking on the “Add/Manage Billers” button. Your added billers will be displayed here. Select your biller and make payments as per your convenience.                     

Where can I see my added billers?

You can view your registered billers in the “Add / Manager Billers” section on the “BillPay/Recharge” tab                              

How is AutoPay beneficial to me?

With AutoPay, your bills get paid automatically on the due date. You can also set AutoPay date before the actual due date so that you can avail early payment discounts. So, you can relax and not worry about late payment charges. You can opt for AutoPay during Biller Registration.                            

How can I schedule a payment for the registered biller?

You can schedule a payment by selecting your added biller from “Add/Manage Billers”. Click on “Pay/View Biller Details”. Click on “Schedule Payment” option and choose the date for making the payment. The amount entered by you will be debited from your bank account on the date set by you. Please note that this facility is available for selected billers only.                         

How can I stop my scheduled payment?

You can go to ”View/Pay Bills” Section & choose your biller from the “Scheduled Biller” tab and click on “Stop”. Your Scheduled Payment will be stopped immediately.                    

How do I delete my biller?

You can delete your biller by going to the “Add/Manage Biller” tab & select your biller and click on “Delete” to delete the biller.                            

Is there any other channel by which I can make payment to my added billers?

You can make payment via SMS, IVR , Net Banking, Chatbot                           

What are the different types of recharges are available on Kotak BillPay?

Both Mobile Recharges and DTH Recharges can be done conveniently on Kotak BillPay using Kotak Mobile Banking app & Net Banking.

                         

What are the different operators available for recharge?

Operators currently available with us are Airtel, Vodafone, Aircel, Idea, Jio, Tata Docomo, BSNL & Videocon.

                              

What are the limits on the amount of recharge that can be done?

The minimum amount for any recharge is Rs. 10 and the maximum amount is Rs. 1500 on Kotak BillPay.

                                  

What will happen if I input incorrect number while recharging?

If the number entered is valid and belongs to any of the available operators, the transaction will go through and the particular number entered by you will receive the recharged amount. In case, the number entered is incorrect and does not belong to the available operators, the refund will be given to you within 3 working days.

                                

Where can I check the status of my recharge?

You can check the status of your recharge in the “Quick Recharge” Tab
