We have the most advanced security system to safeguard your Net Banking transactions. All your transactions travel in a 256-bit SSL encrypted medium, the highest level of security on the Internet. The servers are protected with firewalls that make unauthorized access impossible.

At the customer level, every customer is provided with a unique User ID and password. In addition, we make sure that:

  • To login into Kotak Net Banking, other than CRN and Net Banking Password, you need a One Time Password which is auto generated everytime you login and sent on your preferred mobile number and email ID.
  • In addition to the One Time Password, you can also authenticate using Kotak Mobile Banking app or use Digital Signature Certificate. You can use Digital Signature Certificate after you have registered the same on Net Banking.
  • You need to register and activate the beneficiary before making a fund transfer. The Beneficiary Activation Code is sent only on your preferred mobile number registered with the bank.
  • You can activate only 5 beneficiaries online per day and can transfer maximum Rs. 25,000 to a new beneficiary for next 24 hours after beneficiary activation.
  • To prevent somebody from guessing your password and getting unauthorized access to your account, your Net Banking access is locked after three consecutive wrong password entries. Similarly, to prevent somebody from guessing your One Time Password and getting unauthorized access to your account, the facility to generate One Time Password gets locked after five consecutive wrong entries of One Time Password.
  • To prevent an unauthorized person from viewing your Net Banking account in case you leave your computer idle, we close your Internet session in case of inactivity for an extended period of time.
  • If you want to block your Net Banking for a specific duration, you can call our 24-hour Customer Contact Centre and ask our Customer Care Officers to do so. You can unblock it whenever you want by calling and requesting for the same.
  • In case, you do not use at least any of the channels i.e. Payment Gateway, Mobile Banking or Net banking for 720 days, the same will be blocked
