In order save your excess tax payment (if any), I advise you to submit form 15G immediately after booking a term /Fixed Deposit.

Please note:

1. A fresh form 15G needs to be submitted as an when you book a new term /Fixed Deposit in future in a same financial year.

2. Every new financial year, a fresh form 15G Request needs to placed even though its a old term / Fixed Deposit.
