The government of India made PAN Aadhaar linking mandatory for everyone. The PAN Aadhaar link last date was June 30, 2023. After this date, PAN cards that are not in compliance become inoperative. However, those who missed the deadline can still link their PAN and Aadhaar by paying a late penalty of Rs. 1,000.

I. Payment of Penalty:

  1. Visit the Income Tax e-Filing Portal.
  2. Click on 'e-Pay Tax' under 'Quick Links'.

  4. After OTP verification, proceed to make the penalty payment.

Without Logging In:

  1. Visit the Income Tax e-Filing Portal.

  4. Enter the OTP received on mobile for validation.

Logging In to Your Account:

  1. Log in to the e-filing portal.
  2. Navigate to 'Link Aadhaar' under 'My Profile.'
  3. Enter Aadhaar, validate, and link.
