What is eSampada?

eSampada is a single-window platform for users to avail various services related to the allotment of GPRA estate services and residential quarters. It offers a user-friendly interface for citizens and government employees to access various estate services, including allotment, retention, and vacation of properties. The platform aims to enhance transparency, efficiency, and ease of access in estate management. It integrates several government housing and estate services into a streamlined online system eSampada also has a mobile app that lets users apply and check for real-time status of their application. Its primary objective is to make the application and allotment process easier and faster.

What is GPRA?

The GPRA's full form is General Pool Residential Accommodation, a government scheme aimed to offer affordable residential housing to government employees across 61 cities and 350 localities in the country. The CPWD (Central Public Works Department) and DoE (Directorate of Estates) administer the GPRA scheme, allowing houses to eligible employees per the Allotment of Government Residences Rules, 1963.

The GPRA scheme is open to employees of central and state governments, statutory and autonomous bodies, and state and central PSUs. Housing allotment for each category depends on a 'unified waiting list,' and the department accepts applications through an Automated System of Allotment (ASA).

What is eAwas?

The Indian government launched GPRA to offer affordable housing solutions to its employees. While e-Sampada is an online portal to allocate residential units to eligible candidates, e-Awas is the primary software handling the entire process of online house allotment. The primary objective of this software is to facilitate hassle-free, corruption-free, fair, transparent, and paperless house allotments to eligible government employees.

How to Register and Login to the GPRA e-Sampada Portal And e-Awas?

Follow these steps to register and log in to the GPRA e-Sampada portal and was:

  • Visit the official website of eSampada at https://eSampada.mohua.gov.in/signin/.
  • Click on the login button at the top right corner of the homepage.
  • A popup window will appear where you must choose ‘Register here to create an account’.
  • Another popup window will appear, in which you must provide details such as your name, city, employee category, date of birth, city of posting, PAN, mobile number, and email address.
  • Click ‘Submit’.

How to Apply for Government Quarters Through e-Sampada?

Follow these steps to apply for government quarters through e-Sampada:

  • Visit the official website of e-Sampada at https://eSampada.mohua.gov.in/signin/.
  • Click the government residential accommodation option.
  • A new page will open, where you must scroll down and log in using your registered ID and password.
  • Fill out the DE-II form and follow the on-screen instructions. The respective administrative bodies will verify the application form through e-Awas. During this period, you will stay on the waiting list for accommodation allotment.
  • Once the entity accepts the application, you will receive an allotment letter on your registered email address. You must take acceptance of the house and collect the authority slip before the 18th of the month. Otherwise, the authorities will carry forward the allotment for the next month's vacancy. Additionally, technical possession of the allotment should be taken before the 26th of the month to avoid the allotment being carried forward.

What is the Priority for Allotment of Housing Accommodation Under E-Awas?

Illustrated below is the priority factor for the allotment of housing accommodation under eAwas:

  • For lower accommodation type (type I to IV): Based on seniority or service joining date
  • Higher accommodation types (type IV (special) to VI) are based on grade pay, basic pay, service joining date, date of salary disbursal, etc.

If two candidates have similar conditions, the officer retiring earlier gets preference over the other.
