Cardless cash withdrawal via Instant Money Transfer (IMT)

Want to send money to a friend but the friend doesn’t have a bank account? Looking to help a family member with cash but you are too far away? Or is it one of those days when you have forgotten your wallet at home? No problem! Now you or your beneficiary can withdraw cash in a safe and convenient way WITHOUT a card. All you need is your mobile phone!

The Cardless Cash facility allows you to send cash to anyone you choose to send it to, or to yourself, for withdrawal at a Kotak ATM. The receiver can withdraw cash without using a debit card. Yes, that's right! To withdraw cash, simply enter the details received via SMS on your mobile.

Steps for setting a Self-Withdrawal transaction request on Net Banking / Mobile Banking:

Log in to Mobile / Net Banking
Click on the ‘Banking’ tab and select Cardless Cash Withdrawal (IMT)
Select ‘Self Withdrawal’
Set a 4-digit sender code of your choice. This will be required to be entered at the Kotak ATM
Re-enter the 4 digit sender code and confirm the details to complete the request
You will receive another 4 digit SMS code on your registered mobile number which will also be required to be entered at the ATM
You can now proceed to any Kotak ATM to withdraw this amount

Steps to withdraw cash at the Kotak ATM:

Select the option 'Withdraw cash without card (IMT)' on the ATM screen
Enter the mobile number authorized for Cardless Cash Withdrawal. For self-withdrawal — it is your registered mobile number
Now enter the 4-digit sender code that you have set while initiating the request
Enter the SMS Code received from the Bank
To withdraw, enter the exact amount as partial withdrawals are not allowed
Collect your cash

For your safety, the Cardless Cash Withdrawal (IMT) request will expire after 48 hours post-midnight from the day of the IMT initiation.
e.g. : If a customer has initiated an IMT transaction on 9th Sep, then the withdrawal from Kotak ATM can be made till 11th Sep 23:59.

The amount will be refunded to your Bank account in case the cash is not withdrawn within the said period.
